Goofin' around
I mean you're only six (hanging on for dear life, for one more day) and 5.5 once, right? Tomorrow's earth day celebration at school calls for everyone to be clad in green. Usually off limits, unless absolutely necessary, is Chachi's ample supply of button downs. (former little banker boy has become a graphics tee - thank god for crewcuts and their cute supply -wearer) But out came the studly green one tonight which, when paired with his green shorts and leprechaun socks will make ever the enviable ensemble. Quite pleased with his dashingness, he decided it was time to submit shots and let the catalogues see what they've been missing. Peanut followed suit and grabbed a mismatched pair of high heels, sunglasses and pearl purse and was feeling quite glam.
Pie
is Chachi's favorite food. And so when it came down to requests for school birthday snack, out the window went suggestions for cupcakes, cake or cookies. First choice: pie. Specifically, Ammie's apple pie. Because she is the master of pie baking. (mom, do you recall Hansen's commentary: "Deine Torte ist ein Gedicht") Thinking 2 big pies would be overkill, we were amazed to pick up two empty pie plates yesterday after school. Apparently kids who whined they didn't like apples OR pie begged for seconds!
