What a fantastic trip! We loved every ounce of Singapore and were so happy to introduce H and P to Hong Kong. Once I determine my computer won't explode after downloading the many photos we took, I'll post some footage.

Thanks to Uncle Alex and Auntie Connie we were given a very full sense of life in Singapore. We had beautiful accomodations and really enjoyed the intense heat.

H and P were amazing travelers, on both the to and from journeys, the latter of which was 26 hours door to door! Not a single complaint! Between sleep and continuous movie stream, the trip was quite manageable.

Catch Up

Playing catch up a bit here. (Been sulking in depression over the LOSS of our FLIP video cam! I need bigger devices, not smaller ones) ... will be away for two weeks on a fantastic adventure to see far-away family, enjoying equator-like temps. Here are a few memories from Valentine's Day, a birthday celebration, and Milton. First and foremost, my favorite a picture with Ammie who pretty much makes every day Valentine's Day for her grandchildren.







Daddy played in Milton's annual squash tournament this past weekend. As they did last year, H and P found little friends to race around the school and grounds with. What a great school!

One good thing about making photobooks (aside from imagining the final product) is that you pore over photos you'd forgotten were filed away on your harddrive. All because you (sounds so much less incriminating than "I") take 100(0)s per month, which adds up come year's end. And gets a little unwieldy when you're a couple years behind...

I came across a March 2009 file a few moments ago and can so clearly remember this sweet hike we took TWO years ago.

We are Iago-less tonight. That's Peanut's treasured yellow, pink, purple, blue and red stuffed doggie she has had since her 6 month bday. A gift from Aunt Jane. He mistakenly went home in Boppy's car tonight. All's well, though, not a major calamity. She's bolstered tonight by her girls, Sarah and Bitty- the latter a gift from dearest Bermuda-based Annie. In addition to these dolls, she has a little dollie who formerly went by Melissa. At the beginning of the week she became known as Valentine, and last night she promptly became 'Potato Latke'. No idea. So tonight Hugo questions Peanut on the origins of this kind of obscure name, remarking that she's a doll not a food...to which Peanut flatly replies: Well, my name's Portia and I'm not a car! There you go. End of discussion.

Happy Chinese New Year, Year of the Rabbit!!

Marc visited both children's schools to talk about Chinese New Year and some of its traditions and legends. He did three great projects: a paper popper (a fun, safe fire cracker substitute often made by children at this time of year to celebrate the new year), a double happiness cut-out and an origami rabbit. His dumplings were, as always, a huge success, as were the red envelopes he filled with golden wrapped chocolates. What a dad!!
