Field Day and and and...

Playing some serious catch up here. Rewinding a few weeks...and we'll start with Field Day. A very fun day at Hugo's school where Grey and Maroon duke it out. Hugo's on the maroon side.

Hugo's class then took a trip to Mystic Seaport since their current study unit is whales. I chaperoned the trip- a super fun one which took us back to the colonial whaling days, into old whaling boats. We learned all about whaling, scrimshaw, figureheads, rope making.

The last big event of the school year was May Day, a festive day of dancing for grades K-9.

Another school year down. Peanut has her last day tomorrow and Chachi on Friday. These are such good times.

Harry turns 7

What a fun celebration! Our Harry celebrated his 7th with wonderful friends. I am not sure what was more fun, preparing for this sleepover birthday party or the actual fete itself. Major points to Daddy for his unbelievable artwork! Free hand, fabulous drawings rendered on muslin, colored as per Hogwarts official house colors, and attached to felt banners! And for the hand-painted platform 9 3/4 Hogwarts Express sign! Most importantly, everyone had so much fun! Here are just a few images from the 3 days of celebration; it all started on Thursday afternoon when the children had a quidditch tutorial by Yale's Quidd. captain and then played a game themselves.
